Digital Effects Project – Week 13: High Speed Photography

The theme for my digital effects project this week is high speed photography.

 Nikon D800 with Nikkor 50mm 1.4G lens and SB900 speed light | settings: f/2.5, SS 8000, ISO 200

High speed photography is the art of photographing a rapidly occurring event.

For this picture, my son helped me out.
We filled a balloon with water and he poked it with a needle as I took the picture.
This picture was actually of the third balloon.
It took a couple of tries for us to get our timing right!
